CUPPING
What is cupping?
Cupping therapy is a method of using glass cups to create localized pressure by vacuum. The vacuum inside the cups draws blood to the surface from deep in the tissues, dispelling blood stasis and pain; promoting circulation and healing tissues.
Cupping has been used for centuries in traditional Chinese medicine. It is commonly used to treat pain and tension locally acting much like rigorous massage would. Additionally, cupping along the length of the spine stimulates all the body’s functional systems through stimulation of the peripheral nervous system. This technique makes the use of regular cupping a valuable component of any maintenance therapy for health and vitality. Adding a cupping session to your standard care enhances the overall effect of treatment.
